CAMPFIRE – wind and water to ammonia – maritime fuel and energy storage for an emission-free future
A future energy industry based on the hydrogen carrier green ammonia enables a carbon-free and safe energy supply. CAMPFIRE is an initiative of the funding programme WIR!-Change through Innovation in the area of the BMBF.
Its aim is the development of new technologies for decentralized generation of green ammonia out of renewable energies and its usage in the maritime mobility. Further areas of application are the stationary energy storaging as well as the carbon-free production of fertilisers.
The NOW GmbH stands for a holistic approach of a clean and efficient electrical mobility within an integrated energy system that contains of the following key technologies: battery, hydrogen and fuel cell. With its technical expertise the NOW coordinates funding programmes in the field of alternative fuels and drives and also advises the federal government in named fields.
H2 Mobility is responsible for the nationwide development of the hydrogen infrastructure in Germany.
